Dear Kaylei,

Dear Kaylei,

Every day I watch you step out into the world, and I’m filled with pride for the amazing young woman you are becoming. You are beautiful, strong, and filled with so much potential. But every evening, when you come back home with your spirit shaken, my heart aches for you. I see how hard the world tries to dim your light, and I know how much it hurts to feel like the people around you—your friends, teachers, coaches—don’t see the incredible person you are.

I want you to know this: you are the standard. You are everything others wish they could be—smart, kind, and full of purpose. Don’t ever let anyone make you feel less than that. Don’t let the world take what’s already yours: your confidence, your self-worth, your power. Those are yours to keep, and no one has the right to take them away from you.

I know it’s hard. I know it’s exhausting. But I also know you are stronger than you think. Every day, I’ll be here to remind you of that. When the world tries to break you down, I’ll be here to build you back up. I will keep pouring into you, piece by piece, until you remember just how extraordinary you are.

Hold your head high, my love, and walk boldly through life. Your beauty, inside and out, speaks louder than the negativity others try to throw your way. Your strength will carry you further than you realize right now.

You are my heart and soul, and I will always be your biggest cheerleader. Never forget that you are loved, and never forget who you are: a young woman with the power to change the world, just by being you.

I love you,

XOXO KAYE,
